CONDOM EDUCATION AT INDIANA UNIVERSITY
April 21 2015
With so many condom options available these days, it’s no surprise that many people don’t actually know the correct way to use one. Whether it’s flavored, textured, or heated, the purpose of the condom remains the same, and knowing how to use one is crucial in preventing unplanned pregnancies and the spread of STDs.
Indiana University students participated in Cupcakes and Condoms, an event sponsored by the Sexploration org on IU’s campus, held to make learning about condoms fun. With stations titled “Let the Fingers Do the Walking: Touch and Feel,” “How to Use Your Oven Mitt: Condoms Do’s and Don’ts,” and “The Recipe for a Safe and Healthy Sex Life: STIs and Condom Use,” students were able to experiment with the condoms themselves, while learning about STIs and proper condom use.
At Say It With A Condom, we are well aware of the misconceptions surrounding condom use, so we’ve developed a few campaigns that feature instructions strategically placed on the inside of the packaging.
We love the idea of having fun while spreading knowledge about proper condom usage and sexual health. Read more on IU’s Condoms and Cupcakes event here.
