PrEP-ing the City of Brotherly Love

According to the CDC, PrEP stands for Pre-exposure prophylaxis and is a way for people who do not have HIV but who are at substantial risk of getting it to prevent HIV infection by taking a pill every day.

The AIDS Activities Coordinating office within the Philadelphia Department of Public Health has initiated a PrEP Implementation Plan to help combat the spread of HIV in high risk areas within the Philadelphia community.

Charged with the task of educating both medical providers and their patients about the benefits of PrEP, the city of Philadelphia came to us to help advertise PrEP, and it's availability at clinics across the city.

The message is simple: captivate the community with an engaging design, and educate with the call to action.

"Be on the safe side with PrEP, the HIV prevention pill. Now available at a clinic near you."

Coupled with educational resources developed by the Strawberry Mansion Health Center,  and collaborative resources such as this web survey from The Stigma Project called "Is PrEP right for me?", the city of Philadelphia has armed its community members with a well of information needed to help make safe, educated decisions about sex.
